Hossein Maleki Alavi, P.Eng. is the founder and principal of ITMBC Enterprises Inc. He is a Senior Hydrotechnical Engineer and possesses a Master’s degree in the field of Hydraulic Structure from the University of Tehran (Iran). He has more than 29 years of experience in water resources engineering, mostly at executive and managerial levels.

Back in his home country (Iran), he has practiced in various water resources projects, waterworks, hydrology, hydraulics, technology know-how, manufacturing, and construction. Hossein has continued his professional journey in Vancouver (2016), pursuing his passion in the field of water resources engineering in the beautiful British Columbia. He has been involved in design works in more than 70 residential and commercial projects, including stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, sump pump, water, sanitary and stormwater connection, flood hazard assessment, creeks restoration, onsite wastewater treatment systems, and groundwater monitoring in the Metro-Vancouver and Sunshine Coast areas. He has worked in creeks and rivers as a water resources specialist and a hydraulic and hydrology modeler. Environmental concerns are significant for him, and he is passionate about creeks hydrology, especially in North Shore Vancouver. He has done many water quality monitoring and sampling concerning the fish habitat in the region as a volunteer member at North Shore Stream Keepers (NSSK).

Hossein is a lifelong learner and has celebrated attending in many courses, programs, and certifications as continuing study, including BC building code, construction management& technology& legal, onsite wastewater treatment systems, home warranty service, customer services, business management, and financial skills at BCIT, Langara College, WCOWMA, and VCC. He is a registered professional engineer with Engineers& Geoscientists British Columbia (EGBC).
